Thai Karen Hill Tribe silver beads, charms and jewellery making components are created with "high-content" silver, the purity of which is up to 98% (this is purer than Sterling Silver which is 92.5%).  All the items are handmade by the Karen Hill Tribe in northern Thailand using traditional tribal methods passed down from generation to generation and purchasing these items helps sustain a traditional craft. 

Today each handmade item is a unique masterpiece that represents centuries of Karen culture and art.  Often the pieces are engraved with plant, animal or geometric designs, symbolising their direct connection to their land and water.
